Webcast of CIRM's #ALS Google hangout now available

We just concluded our Google Hangout focused on ALS. It was our first Google Hangout and I think everyone here at CIRM is breathing a sigh of relief that all technology glitches took place before the event went live. If people missed watching the event live you can see it in the video below.

It was a great feeling to share the screen with Diane Winokur, long-time ALS patient advocate and member of CIRM's governing board. She's a real inspiration for what a dedicated patient advocate can achieve. We also talked with Clive Svendsen about his CIRM disease team working on a therapy for ALS, and Karen Berry, who is the science officer at CIRM who oversees the ALS projects that we fund.

Feel free to share the video link with others who might be interested in learning about progress toward stem cell based therapies for ALS. The direct YouTube link is: http://youtu.be/QIkOcg5uy5Q.  You can also watch the video on the Google Hangout page: http://bit.ly/18j2Y8U.
